UAE CONSUMER SURVEY ABOUT INFLUENCER MARKETING & AI

This October 2025 survey of 1,148 UAE consumers reveals that 87% are aware of AI influencers, yet consumer preferences remain cautiously balanced. While 53% strongly prefer human influencers for recommendations, a notable 27% are actually more likely to purchase products recommended by AI creators. A significant majority (73%) agree that brands must clearly disclose when using AI in their content, reflecting growing demand for transparency in the influencer marketing space.

The research highlights a nuanced future for AI content creators in the region. Consumers see their main value in being creative, innovative, and entertaining, though concerns persist about job displacement for human creators and the lack of genuine emotions. Interestingly, AI influencers are most accepted in gaming, tech, and entertainment sectors, while beauty and skincare remain the least receptive categories. Looking ahead, most consumers believe AI creators will coexist with humans rather than replace them, with 35% confident they can form genuine connections in tech and gaming spaces.
